This website was created to make the Society’s Newsletters for the years 1989 to 2013 available to the public. They are available for viewing and/or download on the Newsletter page of this site.

The Smith County Historical and Genealogical Society has ceased meeting but to keep the vast amount of Smith County, TN information in the Newsletters available this website has been funded for three years starting in December of 2023.

Thank you to all who wrote articles or helped in any way in creating these Newletters. Although the SCHGS is no longer an active organization there may be periodic information posted to our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/smithcountyhist if you would like to visit it.
